The holiday season is slowly approaching and your agenda is filling up quickly! We spend so much time contemplating on what to wear that we forget to think of different makeup looks for every occasion. Bright colours, glitter and sparkles will add an extra festive touch to your ensemble – it’s the most wonderful time of the year, after all. Do you need some inspiration? Look no further – we put together a list of shimmery looks you’re going to want to wear all season long.

Little Black Dress

The little black dress is classic! Although accessories could certainly amp up your outfit, makeup could give you a punchy bout of confidence. We highly suggest you take the leap and get playful with some bold and glittery palettes!
An evening event is an excuse to glam up, but if you want a more subtle look, we have a party-approved one for you. Our tip: effortlessly apply a lip gloss, blush and eye shadow that are all in the same shade. If you feel like getting out of your comfort zone, even if you’re not the type to wear glitter or an electric lipstick, try a sparkly eyeliner that will instantly and subtly brighten up your entire face.

Sequin Outfits

If you’re wearing a sequin piece, you’ll turn heads coming and going…and what better time to shine than during the holidays? Since you’re going to RSVP yes to all those party invites, practice your smoky eye skills and add a metallic eye shadow while doing so. Continue scrambling around in your makeup drawer and pull out a neutral blush and lipstick to harmonize your look.

Festive Colours

Have you decided you want to go all out with daring colours? Great choice! There’s nothing better than a classic and glamourous Hollywood look to complement your evening ensemble. To try it for yourself, trace a line of black liquid liner in a cat eye style, and don a bright red lip – it’s the festive spin you need! To select which shade of red suits you best, you’ll have to know your skin tone. If you have a golden complexion, get in the celebratory spirit with a vibrant red. If you have pink undertones, make your smile pop with a blue-based or pink-based red.

You’re almost there! For finishing touches, you’ll want to pamper yourself with a holiday manicure and mist on your signature scent. Don’t forget to stuff your purse with all your makeup – you’ll need to do some retouching after all that dancing!
