1. A Radiant Red Lip

Kick off the festivities in a big way with a lipstick that speaks volumes! Find your perfect shade of this timeless Old Hollywood classic according to your skin’s undertone. For cooler tones, a crimson or cherry is your best bet. For warmer tones, there’s nothing better than a brick red or coral. Those with neutral tones have the best of both worlds, but we recommend testing out a few colours to figure out your ideal match. Not ready to commit to a statement red lipstick? Ease into it with a lip tint or gloss.

2. All That Shimmers

Feel the most glamorous you have all year with a shimmery eyeshadow that was practically made for special occasions like these. Start by applying the lightest neutral in your palette on your entire eyelid to create a base, then add a darker hue to the outer corner to give it definition. From there, pack on your favourite glittery product as much as you please for a glistening effect. The choice of colour is all yours, but a golden sparkle is fabulous, festive and fail-safe.

3. Soft “Barely-There” Glam

Pull focus to your natural beauty this season with soft glam, a subtle yet incredibly effective makeup style. The secret is all in the contouring and highlighting, aka using makeup that is slightly darker and lighter than your actual skin tone to sculpt and add dimension to your face.

Where to start? After you’ve put on your base, apply the darker contour shade to the hollows of your cheeks in a line from your ear towards the corner of your lips. Then, add blush on the apples of your cheekbones for a perfect flush, and finish with highlighter right above to give yourself that sought-after glow. Pro tip: blend it all properly with a blending sponge or brush so that the look is absolutely seamless. A dash of light brown eyeshadow and a natural pink lip will complement it all nicely.
