A new year has begun, and if there’s one thing you can count on—it’s new fashion trends. 2022 comes in bold and beautiful, adapting to the latest way of life all while remaining optimistic about the future. Comfort is paramount… but we absolutely must not forget about style!

Ahead, we go over some of 2022’s hottest trends. Keep an eye out for these as new collections start to hit the shelves in the coming weeks.

1. Denim Everything, Always

An everlasting classic, denim isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it’s being stepped up and perfected. Get your annual dose of the iconic fabric with a new jacket, pants and everything in between. This year, find a classic pair of jeans in just the right light or dark wash and experiment with unique embellishments like buttons, rhinestones, embroidery or sequins. You can also try something a little edgy like distressed details. Really want to go all in? Coordinate your denim and wear it from head to toe proudly.

2. Ultra-Feminine Looks

Being a woman is a wonderful thing, and so is embracing femininity in fashion—in all its shapes and sizes. In 2022, watch how clothing gets an extra feminine touch, as pinks, reds and periwinkles colour the racks and dresses and skirts reign. Delicate details become all the rage right now, from ruffles and smocking to golden accents and sparkles. Most trendy style to have on your radar? Perhaps the signature Chanel-inspired bouclé jacket. Stay tuned…

3. The Wide Leg Pant

Culotte, gaucho, palazzo—you name it! Wide leg is officially back and better than ever, and we’re all about it. Cool and comfortable, these loose-fitting bottoms give your legs room to breathe and add personality to your look. A result of the current popularity of comfort dressing meshing with the latest in nostalgic fashion, it’s no wonder this trend is making a comeback. We’re really looking forward to this one, in all its fabrics, widths and lengths.

4. Relaxed Business Casual

Work from home (or at least hybrid work) will be here for a while, and so will toned-down professional attire that makes comfort priority #1. If remote work has taught us anything, it’s that you can mean business without the full power suit and you can get away with casual on the clock (if you style it right). As a solid in-between, we recommend a statement layer like a jacket or sweater paired with pull-on pants or neutral jeans. Perfect on Zoom and for the office right now.

5. Weekend Wear

We like to call it weekend wear, but don’t let that stop you from wearing these pieces whenever you please! Best described as laid-back styles you can wear at home comfortably AND when you’re out without feeling sloppy, you can understand how they fit into the current dynamic. Let yourself take it easy and look amazing doing it. Exhibit A: Get into an elevated monochromatic sweater knit set and live your very best life.
